If you like your blues with a bit more punch, then I would certainly recommend seeing any of (or all!!) Gary Hoey, Quinn Sullivan, Eric Gales and Lance Lopez, if you get the chance.
I did, and a trip to The Garage proved to be a memorable night.
From a photography point of view, it was my first real pit experience. And I’m mighty keen for more.
The changed angle of light, briefly caused issues, so shooting slightly across the stage proved beneficial.
Primarily I shoot Primes on the Fujis. (X-T1 and X-T2) So shooting either close up, or across the stage meant changing cameras. Not a problem, but it has got me thinking about the 16-55mm f2.8…….
The Garage is a great venue to shoot from. Sound is great too. Hopefully I’ll be back soon!
